Naked

Ashamed - I pillage the garden,
grabbing at straws and leaves of circumstance
Anything will do.

Stitching them into
A wretched rag
Which draws focus, saps strength
and begets new shame

Nothing beyond the usual apostate heart. This is supposed to be part 1. Part 2 is Naked - Unashamed. I started to write it but found it trite and weak. It is often difficult to capture virtue, is it not? Villains come quickly to the pen and palate in our sad time of the anti-hero.....
