Just watched this movie for the first time. Very beautiful and moving. I noted that it was produced by David Lynch who also did Twin Peaks. In my view this was a much better use of Lynch's talents than Twin Peaks.

Also noteworthy is that the film was produced by Mel Brooks, who did not wish his name to be prominently attached to the movie for fear that people would think it was a comedy.
I've been an Orthodox Christian for just over 20 years now and I am unspeakably happy about it. I only wish I'd found the Church sooner. I am married and I have two children, 11 and 17 yrs old. My family makes me ridiculously and deliriously happy. I am a public servant living and working in Ottawa.
It once occurred to me that if you tried to get to the other side of the sun, you'd never arrive. But if you just wait 6 months you'll find yourself there with no effort. That means you can spend your time and effort on the things within your control instead of foolishly "trying" to get there.
I sometimes use the thought of this impossible journey (which actually happens twice a year) as a way to calm myself down in life and focus on what Icando right now.
What will you do with your now?
